What is an ESOP?
Kraft’s ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) is a special retirement benefit that allows our employee participants to earn shares in the company. As employees work longer for the company, more shares are contributed to their participant accounts. Unlike a traditional 401K retirement plan this unique retirement benefit is not funded by out-of-pocket withholdings or contributions. Shares are contributed to our participant’s accounts through a trust annually as a percentage of total compensation. At retirement, the company buys back all earned shares at fair market value. As the company grows and performs so do the accounts of our participants. We are proud to be offer our employees and their families the financial benefits of being 100% employee owned.
